Stocking Caboolture Wararba and Woodford weirs

Caboolture Fish stocking group put 15000 fingerlings in to the Caboolture River Weir, Wararba Ck weir and Woodford weir today.
All made possible thanks to the generosity of a Moreton Bay Regional council grant.

Caboolture and Wararba got bass, Woodford got a mix or bass and golden perch.

Will they all be on the sips next year?

Supposed to be, but what I am hearing from all the stocking groups is that apart from the notice being published about the changes, the silence from Fisheries is deafening. There has been no contact from Fisheries to the groups, and no one can find anyone who can provide any answers when they ring up to find out what is going on.

Fisheries are still scratching their heads wondering how they will split up the SIP Scheme money this year.

Hopefully should soon hear something re the convening of the working party. Fisheries have been busy looking after the white spot outbreak and have been unable to devote any resources towards the working party.
