Nothing scientific about the dipstick I made, I just put in 25l of fuel, dipped and marked, another 25 dip and mark, and continued until full, pretty simple, I made mine out of round brass rod that I scrounged.

Pretty certain that GoFishing has the correct numbers. I separately performed the calculation based on the tank dimensions in this thread and arrived at the same answers. Tabulated values in the attached file. The heights are in millimetres and there is a slight rounding error since I figured anyone making a dipstick wont have sub-millimetre accuracy. I've been meaning to do this for ages as the dipstick I have is sus.
