    giant herring ??? i think ...bit skinny for a milkfish ??

    sharked a couple of times and jacked a couple...not many mullet around ran out of bait and left before the time change D:

    Nice catch mate and the barra should not be that skinny lol.

    Were those barra caught in the Maroochy do you think? I realise the odd one is caught this far south, but surely not three in one session! Maybe they were caught up north and filleted down here. Either way cracker jack.

    And yeah looks like a Giant Herring to me. Milkfish have a deeper profile.

    Giant Herring for sure. Milkfish mouth is totally different. Who knows with the Barra - could be store bought, dam fish or maybe even from the Barra park?? Hopefully they weren't "wild" stock. Cracking Jack too.

    There's plenty of Barra in Maroochy..... floods from the Barra park a few years back 2011.
