Headed up to rainbow beach over the weekend of the 26th for a test run in the new boat.

Saturday blew its tits off and the fish were shut down but was a good chance to see how the 575 signature handled a bit of short chop with some swell up its arse inside wide bay bar. There were heaps of birds picking bait off the surface but no tuna under the schools to be seen.

Up early sunday and headed to Bluff for the break in the tide. Caught a few little sharks and some undersized reefies. Got one little grassy at about 40cm. Trolled around inskip for a couple of hours and out around the bar for nothing. Came back in and drifted around the yellow marker at the back of inskip and managed to pick up 40 odd winter whiting.

Topped the weekend off with two dolphins coming up to the boat and eating a few of our pillies and squid out of our hand. 18 month old daughter had a great time feeding the 'elephants'. haha. (there grey and have a nose i suppose)

Overall was just a good weekend to test the boat out and next time will tackle the bar i reckon. If anyone has a few marks for outside the bar im happy to swap some bundaberg marks for a few starters.
