Kevlacat Trailer Skids

I have to replace the original skids on the guide bar of my Sealink trailer for a Kevlacat 2400 and I am wondering if I should be using the blue skid material or try and find the red material that is for fibreglass hulls? A few trailer parts salesman have stated that the colours have no difference in the softness of the material, and I can't find anyone that sells one that is made for glass. Any help would be appreciated.

Most boat places sell the red stuff, but I would go to a plastics specialist place and ask for their advice, I know my local supplier has material for almost every purpose.

I replaced the skids on our KC2400 last year, HDPE was recommended by the local plastics expert, so just ordered them cut to size (white) from them.
So far so good. Bought a long handled riveter and encouraged son to do that part after all the serious mental stuff was looked after

Perko give Roxxom a call they make the stuff in Queensland and will advise you on what to use. Colour does matter with rollers but not skids. Google them.

I used the blue skids with the rounded edges on my new trailer for my 5.2 KC, works well
