    Live baiting Northern bay

Quick trip across the bay with Max yesterday morning to take advantage of the weather,I had to work the afternoon so home by lunchtime, Longtails are still around, ended up with 1 nice one really fat, had to cut the tail off to fit in the esky, also a decent flathead, a cod about 80cm and a nice mackeral. That feels better, fish in the freezer again.

Give a man a fish, he'll eat it and fall asleep.

Teach a man to fish and he'll endanger an entire species

Nice effort well done. Does that dog think it is a cat?

    Well done.

I went out northern bay yesterday but didn't do nearly as good as you. Didn't even see any signs of tuna.

Did see a whale though. First time I've seen a whale between Moreton Island and Scarborough...ever!

There was a whale and calf well south of Peel yesterday at about 6am. Had to do a double take to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

Saw the very same, caught up with them north of harries, the calf was having a grand time jumping around, also saw another mother and calf on Friday, that's at least 3 this season by my count, haven't seen one before in the bay before this year

Saw the same at the four beacons about 10:00 am on Saturday - a mother and her calf. East of the beacons in about 20 m of water. I wonder if its just coincidence that there's quite a few blue jelly fish in at the same time? Then again, have seen the jelly fish many times, but this is the first time I've seen whales. :-)
