    Awesome vid as always, mate.

    Have you thought of spearing those shallows just to the left of that long spit you filmed? Looks like good grounds, and you wouldn't need the boat.

    Always amazed that stingers don't seem to be an issue up there - I'm paranoid anywhere north of Gladstone!

    Yeh some good bombies in the lagoons... but we usually dive the reef edges. Yeh not sure why we don't get the stingers through the straits (there are still the odd report of irakanji on commercial divers right out east).

    Yeh few small trout on the shallows... plenty of reef sharks. No issues with the stingers really. 2-3 people a year get done by irukandji but usually commercial cray divers. It is a pretty good life... very grateful to live and work up here
