quiet day in the office 11/6/16

took a couple of mates out today to get a feed of reefies,plan was to fish 55--70mtrs get our snapper bag and then look for the odd pearlie,the day started well good run across the bay crossin the bar bout 6.10 was pretty good little bit of slop ,got to first spot only managed 4 squire all throw backs.mmm that's not real flash,tried bout 10 different shows here for no keepers at all,bout 8.30 moved out to 70mtrs got 2 pearlies 2 piggies and a keeper squire.time now 10.30 and not even a feed on board plan was changed to head wide for pearlies,pulled up at 150mtrs first 2 drifts 5 pearlies in the box getting there then over the next hr and a bit we put a nice feed of squire and another pearlie in the box...finished with 8 pearlies,6 squire and the 2 piggies...all in all it was a great day out with good mates.

Nice work did a lot better then us today have never had so much trouble trying to raise fish, for 13 hours of being on the water we only Managed to get 6 fish, from the chatter I heard over the radio it seamed as though a lot of people were struggling to find them.

yeah it was a shit drift in close.was thinking for a bit we where going to go home with nothing

We were in the Victory that showed up Rosco - must have been well after you got those - never seen that spot so shut down. Struggled all morning but ran over a random lump on the way in and managed a bag of squire for a feed but was not an easy day by any means.

mate we only had 2 drifts on it b4 you fellas turned up,but that's the 2 drifts when we got them,once you fellas turned up we only got squire

Sounds like things haven't fired up off Moreton yet. I fished the 70m mark and 50m on Tuesday the 31/5. It was a cloudy day and the water was dark. Between the 3 of us we kept 2 squire and a Tuskie with 3 undersized squire thrown back. We tried bottom bashing, floating pillies, plastics and butterfly jigs but fish were caught holding tight to the bottom on the bottom bashers.

yeah mate that's it,anyday is a good day out fishing but its a bonus if ya catch enough for dinner.haha.
