charging batteries
hi
now have a second deep cycle battery too take camping and was going to join them in parallel box
i have two solar panels to charge these,
now hooking these up to the batteries
is it ok to hook eack solar panel to each battery as normal

Joining in series (to make 24 volt) or in parallel (to make a bigger 12 volt bank) ?

Can't see it being an issue. There may be some interaction between the regulators (if each panel has one) but you shouldn't hurt anything (assuming you hook it up properly - hook it up wrong you will hurt stuff)

Hi ScottyGC,
If your only using these panels on those two batteries I think you would be better off running the open voltage from the 2 panels to a single regulator that is close to your batteries. If you use two regs they may fight each other and you won't get an efficient charge. What type of regulator are you running and how big are the panels?

If it was me i would attached both to batteries. To positive on 1 battery and negative on the other as u have connected batteries in parrellel.
