Wed/Thurs Moreton Bay
Couldn't resist the weather forecast so did an overnighter at Harries Wed night and took the wife and our 5 month old out for lunch in flat conditions on Thursday. I could only manage a 36cm squire at harries between 7 and 11pm on the quarried rocks then got a 56cm school mackerel about 6 on Thursday morning.
I took the wife and son to horseshoe bay and we had lunch and saw a turtle, baitfish and a dolphin. The boy enjoyed holding the steering wheel and winding the handle of the fishing reel, got to start them early. I Manage to get a squid at the hole in the wall and then home for calamari and mackerel dinner.
Great day, great conditions and fresh dinner.
Plastics fantastic but bait is better.
