    Point Piper fishing spots

I'm staying with my son who has a unit right smack on the water at Potts Poibt, walk out his back door and you're right there but........... in spite of big kelp beds, gravelly bottom and great looking water there is not a sign of any fish!

I've tried squid, pillies and even prawns but nary a nibble!

Anybody have any hints on whether I'm wasting my time or not?

    Thanks

Never been a fan of fishing Kelp beds, gravel sounds OK, forget the Squid and stuff, probably fish very light with something like Nippers on the gravel at late afternoon or night for Bream and Whiting, that said, I have never fished there in my life, but fish are fish, and can usually be caught in the same places.

Thanks for that info, pretty sure you're right, guy next door says he doesn't bother much after ten years here so it's not a great sign!

Those kelp beds should hold a few squid. Catch them - then use some of that as fresh cut bait. Eat the rest.
