I know you've said plate, but what about a 5.6m Bonito? You'd build one well under your budget!
- Hi guys...looking at new/late model CC plate around the 5.5 size for predominantly offshore but some river estuary fishing.
- requirement ease of one person use
- suggestions welcome
- budget up to $55k

What about the formosa 550 or 580 CC Tomahawk? http://www.formosamarineboats.com.au...e-tomahawk.php
Go fibreglass. So much better. Bonito or yanky import like a Grady white or Boston whaler would
be my choice.
With that budget mate, I'm sure you should be close to a custom build. Give a few builders a call, and they should be able to give you ball parks of what you want.
Cheers

Have a look at the AMM Sea Class, I am in line for a 7m CC, but my mate just picked up his 4.9 CC and it is a very impressive boat.

How about this one. Just out of budget but if you can stretch, brand new with 45hrs. He has been fitting it out slowly over a year and has only been fishing it over Christmas.

After considering a range of options, I ordered a Seajay 5.6 Predaking. It's being constructed right now.
Thats a shame, you could have one of these for around $30k depending on fit out, and of course you have to build it yourself...
