I fished West Peel Arti with a mate on Thursday after work and stayed overnight to beat the crowds for Easter. With a late high tide on Thursday night we managed a couple of undersized squire, a baby Leopard shark looking thing and 2 catfish around midnight. After the catfish I called it a night and got 4 hrs sleep. Friday morning was good for fishing as there was not much run on the low tide and I managed to catch some squire on pillies while my mate was catching them on plastics. We called it quits about 7.30 as there was already 16 boats anchored with us by this stage. We picked up a little shark on the last drift and went home empty handed. We caught about 15 odd squire with 3 going legal size but still under 40cm. All fish were released to be caught another day.

Plastics fantastic but bait is better.
