so the long awaited mega software update has been released and what a doozey! totally sailed over version 6. to go from 5.7 to Version 7!.
included are a host of new support measures and changes. here's a list of some of them

Changes made from version 5.70 to 7.00:

• Added system profiles that allow a user to configure a boat's electronics, save configuration to SD card, and apply that configuration to boat of the same model/configuration.
• Added presets that allow the user to save settings for a function/peripheral device and re-apply them as needed. This is available on charts, radar, sonar, video, media, and digital switching.
• Improved SmartModes to apply presets when entering the layout.
• Added additional gauge configurations and gauge types to allow for better customizations.
• Improved combination screen to allow chart, radar, and sonar interactions without going fullscreen.

• Added red or green filter options for night mode.
• Added ability to blink light icons on the navigation chart based on their period.

• Improved radar image heading tracking
• Added ability to display bearing scale on radar range rings
• Added support for full autopilot commissioning and installation for non-mechanical drive systems.
• Added ability to control and monitor autopilot status through an overlay bar on any layout.
• Improved digital switching and added ability to add a vessel image.
• Improved waypoint presentation, reduced symbol size, and added new fishing symbols.
• Added angle markers for heading line and allows shorter heading line distances.

Thanks for the heads up. Just did the download last week in preparation for new boat (and Garmin 1020sx) - back to my snail pace internet for another download.
Saved me from doing the install twice anyway!
