    Shark bite offs becoming worse.

    Just read this article re shark bite offs in WA. Ive noticed an increase of this in Cairns area in recent hears as well.
    Have a read, I am encouraged to see its being noticed elsewhere.

    Hi John,

    Yes I have just recently lost big fish to local Sharks in Moreton bay.

    I have been fishing the same spot for nigh on 55 years and the sharks in the 60's were really bad and took a lot of grassy sweetlip off us at the time.

    Just this year one morning I had 3 under the boat and they were waiting for us to hook a fish.

    They got one big cod for sure and possibly another cod that I did not see.

    Had a good feed on board so went home after that.

    was up in cairns on xmas, one too many near high island and jones patch... but hey what can you do? there lazy fish but they protect marine life lol, i look at shark was police of the sea LOL
