Heading out in morning to try and get some more

It was a stubbie read.
Do u want a blow by blow description next time.
With the lack of reports given these days compared to what it use to be like, any read is good.
I will try harder. Lol
Gday seahorse are you finding the flatties thinner than usual?, I hit donnybrook this morning, perfect conditions but only managed 2 keepers, one 62cm and the other 44, also got whacked by a fat GT 58cm that was bloody hard work on 3kg, he must have had 100metres of line out on me, had to chase him with the leccy, these guys really slug it out but the new stradic has a fantastic drag, got dam hot on the water too so by 8am we were done and headed in..
Nice work funchy and nice photos, for mine the cooler months are much more productive by far, this morning for example was perfect, low tide and no wind , I could sneak right along the weed edges and drop-offs but nobody home or the heat puts them off feeding.
Thats nice feed alleycat.
They were thin today but i was a bit early. I missed out. Got one to boat then spat at last sec, few hits.
i like the last couple hours to run up tide.
I was out on dead low today. It certainly flattened out.
I have never fished donnybrook.
Where do u put in?
cheers
greg
I put in at Toorbul, good ramp and always enough parking, go for a scout one day at low tide and take note of the edges of the big banks...
nice greg.. wheres my invite mate???? a lot more flatties around that area than there usually is this time of year.
Let me know if you want to do a donnybrook trip.
Dad reckons fishing is 10% brains and 95% muscle, the rest is just good luck.
I've noticed flatties pretty thin at the very southern end of the passage, from the Oyster Jetty up through Whitepatch. Not sure if it's just the school hols with all the extra pressure on fish, the noise, or something else. I need to find some new ground further north.
Hey Dean i thought u were back at work?
Mate iam keen to go to donnybrook area. Could we leave from Scarb?
maybe next week? Lol
Next weekend?
keep in touch
