Port Douglas and back to mackay tips pls

just wanted to know if anyone out there can tell me best places to fish from port Douglas down to say Bowen . Would love to get a red emperor only got a week . Was thinking mission beach Cardwell . The boats a 4.8 meter going the 22 Jan

well i just came back from cairns, i was there during the cyclone rain sadly so fishing was limited, but during my road tip i stopped by afew place on the way to brisbane

port douglas near woody island toward the reef, afew trout and crap load of mackerel
green island toward high island anywhere between 25-30m was afew reds, tuna and an odd dolphin fish
mouth of barron river was the jackpot (sadly was too raining and was land based)
cairns intel was one too many jacks and queenies
flying fish point was just mackerel
lucinda was alot of GT and big sharks and the odd barra
balgal beach was a bust
magnetic island alot of sweetlips and string ray with some Javelin
clairview was everything

all was live fish, mullets and whiting mostly and afew soft plastic...
