A mate has one on his boat, a good idea & very sturdy but to my mind I can acheive a similar result using a bouy in a grab bag.

I saw this product on the news tonight and checked out the website. What a simple & effective idea!
Will be ordering one tomorrow....

But the question is, have you done exactly that yet?
Spending most of my sea time in kayaks these days really highlights just how little safety prep recreational boaters take in general. I would guess many members here do not use a waterproof ditch bag/container in a ready to grab position. Something so easily achieved but seldom thought about until faced with a genuine need such as the inventors above.

Yep! But it doesnt have a bouy in it, idea of the lifecell is it can provide support for up to 4 people in the water (Something to grab hold onto), if I put a bouy into the grab bag it would acheive that too at a fraction of the cost.
Great idea for people who don't want to mess about with their gear. (Most people)
All my gear is in a fermenter drum but it certainly isn't compact.
