So, the forum runs on software not owned by Ausfish. As with all software, you have to upgrade or get left behind. Get left behind and you have no support and no upgrade path.
When you upgrade, you get new upgraded interface that the software company thinks that everyone wants. In reality, the software companies are usually just following the style guidelines offered by larger OS manufacturers, which are typically driven by the younger generations and future predictions of human interaction with software.

yer I sorta like it too, id like to see it in a few different colours but I can live with the layout...
Well the 5% of us that are colourblind find it very vague and grey looking.......at least the old blue was blue.
