Not sure how long since I have been there, is that a pontoon at the ramp in one of LP's photos there?
Yep, there is a ramp with floating pontoon now. Public access is OK.

Just called in to see some more " ferrets " that have turned up.... they were there 10 minutes, not unpacked yet and the beers were flowing

Managed to put together a nice feed from last Sunday and Tuesday.
Also hooked a Marlin on 30lb line and on a 5000 spin reel for a bit of fun.

Hey Almako, looks like you had some great weather and got a nice feed. I bet you didn't keep that marlin for very long on 30lb?

Hey Paramaster72 about 10 minutes as the video being taken was about that long, it wasn't until we got it within metres of the boat that it jumped and spat the hook. The hook nearly cleaned up my mate filming it on his phone. Got the rig back in one piece and was't damaged, but I don't know how..

The end of next week is looking good for a trip up there. Hmmm if I attach everything back on the boat that got smashed off the other week off di, find a decky and get a leave pass I mite be right for a few days holidays up that way.

Although the wind drops out on Tuesday / Wednesday I'm guessing the wind chop makes for pretty crap boating up there in a smaller boat?

It's more like Moreton Bay chop until you get out past the islands in my opinion.

Julian, think you might head out on Monday / Tuesday or wait for improvement later in the week?
