Mackay & Burnett Heads - 4m Hornet -

Having a little roadtrip (OK maybe not so little) mid Sept, with Kermit the 4m Hornet.

Any assistance/suggestions are all very much appreciated. I've done some research & will keep studying my maps. Will be staying Mackay for 10days & was hoping to hit Burnett Heads for a week on the way up - but having trouble sourcing accom so that one may change to ....I have no idea.

Used to fishing up to 50klm offshore on my own (in good weather of course) so hoping to do some inshore fishing at least, at worst will target the river/dams.
Not much of a bait fisho anymore these days. I've got the usual arsenal of SP's for reefies, hardbody's for mackerel etc - but any local advice would be great.

Leaves it wide open I know, but not familiar with any of those areas & actually have never seen a barra, yet alone target any - bit too cool yet I'm thinking?
