Is anybody else out there (who's a keen fisherman) allergic to fish?

I'm allergic to shellfish and crabs but love eating them, so I'll have a little but my fingers tingle when I handle them and my lips and throat swell. Worst I've been has been on a crabbing trip at Weipa and had a muddy claw just caught and cooked, my throat swelled up so much I could hardly talk. We were young fellas then and thought it a bit of a joke.
I love catching but not a great lover of eating fish, could be part allergy but never had a reaction to fish though.
My ancestors were fishermen ... they'd be disappointed with me especially if they also knew my crap fishing abilities.
