    Mooloolaba this weekend 7/8/15

    Hi,
i am here in Mooloolaba from Toowoomba for my sons basketball state champs.
have bought some fishing gear, but am undecided where to go. Low tide Saturday is around 8am and high is 3 ish. Is it worth casting some bait off the rocks at the mouth of the mooloah river at either of these times? Should I fish in the evening, even though tides are not great then. Am I too focussed on tides?

thanks any advice for a novice who doesn't get to the coast very often to fish.

    Hey mate,

I'm not an expert in the area, however I've often read on this site over the years that under the bridge of the mooloola river is good for flattie/bream.

Sorry can't give you many more details, but I'd imagine fishing the rocks at the mouth would be good any tide with some movement especially around dusk/dawn. The tailor have been hit/miss all season up and down the coast so worth a shot.

You could try the rocks at the mouth of the river going into Mooloolaba. You get there by going on the road past Underwater World. High tide before and after is probably your best bet.
