    35's again

Fished the 35's off Moreton today hoping for a bit of current after last weeks mill pond. Well we were drifting at 5km/hr so our baits were covering a lot of ground. Didn't have trouble finding fish. Lots of bait around and squire amongst it. Once we caught one or two fish in the school the rest would shut down so we then had to move on to the next patch. This went on for a couple hours until everything seemed to shut down late morning.
Between the 3 of us we managed 5 squire, 2 Pearlies and a few undersize squire thrown back.

Plastics fantastic but bait is better.

Went out with a mate Friday morning and fished the banks, same thing it was hard going, got 13 keepers, 4 finger mark, 8 tuskies and a red throat nothing of great size though.

Nick, I think you will find those fish are actually Moses Perch and not Fingermark. You'd have to be in Central Qld and further north to strike them.
