hmmm.. we were off sykes last weekend and had a bit of a crap sleep on friday night, saturday morning was a fast and easy ride out east of sykes with a tiny bit of wind from rain squalls. Wind abated saturday afternoon and was amazing saturday night into sunday lunch... Must have been localised weather... At least the next trip you do can only get better right?

oh and fish were biting their heads off in 100m + of water east of one tree!!! If in doubt head deep!!! We pulled the pin after catching what we deemed to be enough but not even close to bag limit. It gives us an excuse to head out again in a month after the fish supplies are gone....

I can't say I've had a unlucky trip like yours. I can understand your frustration, traveling a hell of a long way too. I've had a trip like that where nothing goes to plan. These trips are only good for building character. The gods were definitely not in your esky on that trip. You might not think, you gain much from those trips but you do. The next one will be better. Awesome write up.
