well done mate
Did a few miles to find the bait to find the fish but worth it in the end for a near bag out of good size pearlies and this cracker snapper [93cm 9kg]. Some big fish dusted us a few times probably AJ's and did a bit of share farming.
Had to head in early so missed the evening bite period for the snapper but with a good mixed bag of reefies and glassed out conditions with no one in sight you got to love midweek missions.
Happy Days...

well done mate
Cheers, Doug.
Love to use Preditek or Kingfisher lures or Viva Lures when I am out fishing.
Scoota, that is an absolute horse!!

There was a 9 kg one weighed in at RBC comp at Cleveland on Sunday,Must be some good ones around at the moment!
Note to self: Don't argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience....
great looking snapper.. turn around theres another one on the rod behind u !
Dad reckons fishing is 10% brains and 95% muscle, the rest is just good luck.
Nice Knobby mate! Was out cal wide the same day - fished the 80-90m ground - only fish we got was a 15kg AJ on a live slimey...went quiet after that. Found it very tough, even the live baits weren't getting hit. Went out to the 110-115m ground to see if Pearlies were chewing, but quiet too. Had to head in before the afternoon snapper bite as well. Had a pro in a cat near us - was that you? I was in the smaller cat. What depth you get most your fish?
No mate we were in a mono and we were fishin in 50-70m all day. Soft plastics on light gear accounted for more than half of our catch including the big snapper.
Cheers...
Scoota...
Great snapper mate.
What depth did you get the pearlies?
Cheers Scoota for the reply. Been a few good snapper caught on plastics lately - i will have to persist with plastics more often when the fish are quiet going of your report! How light do you fish with plastics?
