Went out for a fish yesterday. Found some good shows and dropped the baits. First drift two 37cm snaps came up. Reset the drift but wind had shifted. New drift line saw my new pb snapper come on board. The fishing shut down after that (around 930) Tried to fish deep tempest but the wind and chop was terrible. 16oz leads weren't even touching bottom. Drove around for a while not finding any structure to speak of. Then copped two waves over the bow and that shit me off enough to head home. Once around the cape it was a good ride home on 50k/hr.
On ya for getting out there in ordinary conditions. Shame you had to come back early but you look happy with your snapper. There is good ground to be found all along the inside of Moreton which is very pleasant to fish when the wind is up from the NE-SE which is an option for you if it is too rough outside.
