    Trying to find a globe

    Hi!

I have been trying to find an LED replacement for my anchor light. I have found one but it is too long. Needs to be around 35mm.

Anyone know where I can source one?

It is the BA15D but needs to have the two round pins, not the two long pins.

    Thanks!

See how this one has the surfboards looking pins? This won't work. Needs to be the two circles. Double contacts.

Attack it with a file, but can't see any reason why it won't work as long as the pins are parallel, double contact and single filament style.

I might try another LED globe as it might be damaged.

Did you try reversing it (if the locating pins will allow) . LED's are polarity conscious unlike a normal light globe.

the two round pins, and the two surfboard pins fit exactly the same base.

What Scottar said. If the bulb doesn't work the way you have put it in, take it out and reinstall rotated 180 degrees. Some LED's will blow the fuse if put in the wrong way.
I get mine from Bright Lights Auto Parts and are by far the cheapest around delivered. These ones will not effect the fuse if put in the wrong way first time. Jim

Depends on the fitting. On a car where there are two filaments in the globe - one for stop and one for tail, the pins are at different heights on the side of the bayonet and the globe will only seat one way. On a single filament fitting though they can usually go both ways
