Wow, that must nearly be as much they cost on 06/07.

And they say cruisers hold their value well.

Those 4.2's must be pretty sought after.

Sold mine 2 years ago , it was a 2000 model with 285 on the clock , it was very tidy , got 30 k for it and they were lining up to buy it . So yes they do hold their value very well .

    Why are you selling?
what are you planning on replacing it with?

    Re: Selling 2006 Patrol TD42ti

replacing it with a smaller car, 4cyl and auto. patrol doesn't even do 5000km a yr so it's overkill for us.

I owned and loved a 4.2 patrol ute but this is the reason I didn't get a wagon when the family came along. It is as if they are made of unobtainium. They are great but they aren't the be all and end all in fact the engine is quite agricultural. For that sort of money you can get a 4.2TD 100 series these days.

Good luck I wish I owned a car that depreciated at less than a grand a year.

The fact they have a basic agricultural diesel is one of the reasons they are the preferred touring platform for a lot of people not to mention the Nissan enthusiast cult following. The 100 series is the same. I gave up looking for a late model auto TD 100 series when I got to $55k and still wasn't happy with the condition of the vehicle and got a 200 for not much more. If it's a genuinely clean car that hasn't been flogged and the right buyer turns up it will sell.

Not the same model, this is the same model that he has http://www.redbook.com.au/cars/resea...POT-ITM-263374 and no they are not "worth" that but people are paying rediculess amounts of money for a truck like ride of a rattle box with an old tractor motor in it. I was looking for a 2006 ST-L 4.2TD about 3 years ago to replace my GU4 4.8 and I ended up buying a 200 series Sahara for about the same money and the Sahara had less km than most of the Patrols I was looking at and the two vehicles are like chalk and cheese.
In saying this I still would buy a 4.2 Patrol in a heart beat if they were the right price.
