With the weather looking good for monday and tuesday I decided to wait till the tuesday to avoid some of the traffic from the public holiday and head out.
Plan was to stop at the scottish prince for livies then fly out to the fish traps as I had been told kingies had started showing up.
Got the livies which were fairly small yakkas and on the way out came across a show too good to pass up just past the 36's. Bagged out on trag using the livies and then managed to jig up some bigger yakkas and slimeys.
Once out at the traps i drifted with yakkas, only managed a couple of small amberjacks and then losing livebaits to small fish. Managed a 45cm snapper on a slimey, changed to bait and started getting just legal snapper but only kept the bigger model.
Conditions werent as great as they were supose to be but still ok, got better through the day.
