Short of trying wreckers, a genuine part from a dealer is probably your only option, not too sure shopping OS would be worth it.
Hi all my bloody Yamaha has broken the main oil feed pipe nipple off the under cowl tank.. It's only 18 years old bugger it! Anyway what's the best place to source a new one 6E5-21750-05-00 ? I can try a stealer but prefer not to.
Cheers

What's a stealer? Flogged off on eBay? Plenty on there in any case.

With something like a plastic tank that will probably have degraded with age, personally I wouldn't bother with a wrecker unless the same tank is used in a much newer engine. Check the price at the dealers before you go too nuts looking for one. If they are ridiculous, it may even be worth a custom alloy job if you have a good contact
Scales a stealer is a term used for a dealer as they are seen to be the most expensive way of buying genuine parts or servicing apparently . Matt
A bad days fishing has got to be better than any day at work......

Is that price here in Aus? If so, pretty cheap repair after all those years.
Not in Aust but either USD $43.99 or USD $56.99 freight depending on chosen one from Boats.net as suggested by David.
Noelm,
That was USD, but the genuine tank according to the numbers. There are OEM ones as well. Is that what you found Chimo?
I have an order about to be delivered . Cost $ 50 . David

Worth asking if they will ship using USPS priority Int'l or the Global Ship ( slower by a few days but still gets here nonetheless )

I used the part number from the thread that I assume was genuine or was it not?

Looks like a community tank happening here.
The one Steeler found states may not ship to Aust but for the price difference certainly worth asking

Many thanks for the community effort gents. I will ask a couple of dealers for a price tomorrow and then decide which way to go from there. At a guess a dealer will want $120 or thereabouts.
Cheers! !
