Re: Stradic FJ
G'day
I ended up calling Shimano Australia, there's a Stradic FK coming, no details as yet but a bit of the technology from the stella has filtered through. Think they said Julyish, will hold out for one of these as the FI is still doing well, but the handle and knob aren't the best.

I was looking at one in 6000 for a surf rod, but it looks like only the sub 4000 are on sale. Don't need it till September so will wait and see.

Heard from the BCF in cannon hill the new stradics are due in around August, should be an awesome reel with major upgrades and retail around $275ish

Re: Stradic FJ
G'day
The FK is practically here, saw in the emails, BCF is taking pre orders for the 2500 and 3000 with delivery late July. $289. Totally re designed so imo the price is probably justified.

Re: Stradic FJ
Just googled Hagane refers to a pure steel with oxygen impurities.......japanese sward material.
Now would this stuff be impervious to rust in it's pure form??? I'd say no.
I reckon they have an alloy and cashing in on the hagane name set aside for japanese swords.
Marketting ploy.
