    GPS AND FISH FINDER COMBO PRICE GUIDE – Moose @ Moose Marine
    This spreadsheet is to be used a measuring stick. There are many variables when selecting a system.
    I have made these selections based on the inclusion of at least a 300w 2d transducer in MFD packages and the highest model in combo packages. For example, the hummingbird SI models come with their HD S.I transducers in the pack. There is however models lower down in the ranges that only have DI or 2d sonar
    So with that in mind, every unit on here comes with a transducer and Australia wide marine maps
    I stopped at the $4000 range. After that it becomes a very much custom
    Green = cheapest

    Re: gps and fishfinder combo price spreadsheet comparison

    Nice work Moose. What maps and transducer comes with the HDS7 Gen 3 for $2050? Also the Raymarine A78 seems to have it all for that price bracket. Whats the catch?

    Re: gps and fishfinder combo price spreadsheet comparison

    so with all non garmin units i factored the navionics gold aus map card.

    theres no "Catch" as such with raymarine.. there are build quality differences and the likes.. but.. yeah it is a bit of a case of "get what you pay for" ... wow i feel like im wailing on raymarine... i feel bad now im going to get my raymarine beanie and eat some cookies to feel better

    Re: gps and fishfinder combo price spreadsheet comparison

    Does anyone have recommendations for a combo unit suited to fresh water and ocean ranging from 0 - 100m.
    Budget 1k

    Lowrance or Raymarine 7 series seem to be suitable and priced the same.

    one other option if anyone can comment on is a duel setup
    elite 5m cartplotter and elite 5x fishfinder, price is vary similar
