Great video mate. You know you'd get more reds if you did less jigging. Just sayin

Thanks for taking the time to put the video together. That jigging looks like hard work! I hope to get up there at Easter.

Good video, seems a waste though to travel so far to catch vermin.
Theres better kings and amberjack off Morten with less travel.
I can't resist when up to chase trouts and reds when your on the foot step of reef paradise.
    Well done,
    Mick

thanks mick, yes it is a long way and we did only jig in the mornings for about 2.5 hours to give my decki some experience at jigging for the upcoming winter. (Better fish).
My one goal of the trip was to show my decki that lures work , all sorts of lures as well as bait .
He has now caught fish on soft plastic, metal slug, jig, stick bait, hardbody diver and a octo jig, but he did land the best fish on 2x squid on a bottom bashing rig.

and now when I go it will be for the eating quality more than the sport.
that red and trout tasted great. As I have only been twice I am only just starting
to find ground now that I'm looking just found 1 spot I'll try again lol

We are going to head up Thursday and come back on Monday. We had crackin trip last Easter the weather was sensational. We caught up with Bannanna east of one tree it was like looking up at someone on a second story balcony. The trophy I won for biggest Red last yr will be up for grabs again.
I think Humdinger and the fisherman formerly known as Muddy are going but they only target hussar!! 2IC Bill and crew will be up there but they pretty much just float around and sip red wine.
