    help with linking hummingbird with garmin

    Guys I have an echomap 70s, and a hummingbird 917c. I'd like to run one as a sounder and the other as a GPS. Problem is I currently don't have a transducer or GPS antenna for the bird.
    Is there any way to feed the GPS information into the bird or is the a cut splice way to make the garmin transducer work on the bird. Pretty handy with the soldering iron.
