Painting 2 part polyurethane lures

Hi guys, been having a go at making polyurethane poppers, I use a 2 part polyurethane mix and was wondering how to paint them, I was thinking of using a can of the gold metallic chrome spray paint, does anyone one know if I use a plastic primer prior to the chrome paint, will the chrome paint stick, or is it a losing battle no matter what I do?

Should be ok if you use an etch primer

Thanks Stockhorse, I bought a can of the primer and will give it a go on the ones I have made, I will also try spaying the inside of the mold with the chrome paint to see if the polyurethane will bond to the paint directly.
