Happy New Year to all.

Starting a new thread to let everyone know I am still looking for any old fishing reels, particularly side cast reels
.
For those that don't know of me I am a Historian/Collector of side cast reels.

As I have mentioned before most will be aware of the Alvey reel. However there are approximately 90 other reel manufacturers (branded names) and almost the same number unbranded.

I am looking for those unusual ones you have never seen before. Doesn't matter if damaged/broken as I can restore.

I pay cash for these reels.

have you ever seen a fuji side cast reel ? it has a spring loaded detachable spool for fast line change

Hi Frosti,
Yes have seen them. Think they were made in late 70's or 80's.
Coloured spools of black, blue, green and brown.
Not what I collect though. I should of said Australian side cast reels.
