    Product Description
The all new Gen3 Lowrance High Definition System (HDS) combines a brighter, multi-touch display and an enhanced processor with leading-edge fishfinder technologies, including CHIRP Sonar, Broadband Sounder, DownScan Imaging, and Trackback view. The Lowrance Gen3 Series utilizes the latest advances in navigation and user interface, incorporating an internal 10Hz GPS, dual microSD card slots, touch-plus-keypad operation, and built-in wireless connectivity, all in one easy-to-use display.

    Simple-To-Use Lowrance Interface
The HDS Gen3 Series features an easy-to-see, LED-backlit, widescreen display that provides both multi-touch, touchscreen, and keypad options for lightning fast, fingertip access to all HDS features. Quickly make adjustments with an enhanced, faster processor and intuitive user-interface features like scrolling menus, cursor assist, snap-to-setting markers, and preview panes with quick-touch slider bars. Stay connected with integrated wireless connectivity. With the Lowrance GoFree App you can view and control select HDS Gen3 displays wirelessly using supported tablets or smartphones. Features a single ethernet networking port and Micro-C connection for NMEA 2000 devices.

    Latest Advances in Navigation
The internal GPS antenna with 10Hz position update rate provides ultra-accurate trails, smoother chart performance, and maximum position accuracy. It supports WAAS/EGNOS/MSAS corrections. The HDS Gen3 includes built-in Insight USA charts for Coastal and Inland US waters and a world background reference map. Dual microSD-card slots let you upgrade to the most expansive selection of compatible cartography on the market, including Insight, Navionics, C-Map, and more. HDS Gen3 models are also compatible with the online Insight Genesis map-creation service, which allows users to make custom, high-resolution contour maps from recorded sonar logs, including bottom-hardness and vegetation overlays.

You can also view two charts simultaneously, in 2D or 3D perspective view, with independent control, range, and overlay capabilities.

    Leading-Edge Fishfinder Technologies
Dominate with greater sensitivity, improved target resolution, and superior noise rejection for clearer, easy-to-see bait fish and game fish targets. The single Lowrance Skimmer Transducer delivers CHIRP sonar performance, including the capabilities to produce low, medium, and high CHIRP sonar ranges, as well as 83/200 kHz Broadband Sounder frequencies. The award-winning Broadband Sounder allows you to display and mark game fish, baitfish, and structures at higher speeds and at greater depths down to 1000'.

DownScan Overlay technology overlays DownScan Imaging onto CHIRP or Broadband Sonar. TrackBack lets you scroll back through sonar imaging history to review structure or fish targets and pinpoint the location with a waypoint.

    and heres the elite9 Release
    Elite-9-Chirp.jpg

Lowrance, a world-leading brand in fishing electronics since 1957 — announced today the release of the latest and largest in a series of award-winning Elite fishfinder/chartplotter displays, the Elite-9 CHIRP. The Elite-9 CHIRP series features a 9-inch widescreen SolarMAX™ Plus display for enhanced viewability especially in sunlight.
The Elite CHIRP lineup now includes 4-, 5-, 7- and 9-inch fishfinder/chartplotter models, as well as standalone fishfinder displays, and all Elite CHIRP models can produce and display multiple CHIRP sonar frequency settings from a single Lowrance Skimmer® transducer.

The Elite-9 CHIRP sonar provides improved target resolution and superior noise rejection for clearer, easy-to-see baitfish and game fish targets. By displaying two user-selected ranges simultaneously, anglers can more easily observe better target separation at greater depths and mark fish clearly at higher boat speeds. When combined with the Lowrance HDI Skimmer transducer, the Elite-9 CHIRP can also display a DownScan Imaging™ view of the area beneath the boat, for picture-like views of fish-holding structure. The Lowrance exclusive DownScan Overlay™ combines DownScan Imaging with CHIRP Sonar for a brilliant presentation that clearly exposes fish targets from surrounding structure. With TrackBackTM, anglers are able to scroll back in recorded sonar history to review structure, transitions and fish targets and mark locations with a waypoint — reducing the time required to search for productive fishing areas.

The Elite-9 CHIRP features a highly accurate, built-in GPS antenna and a detailed U.S. map with more than 3,000 lakes and rivers, plus coastal contours to depths of 1,000 feet. A micro SD card can be used to display Lake Insight™ and Nautic Insight™ HD and PRO cartography, as well as Navionics® +, HotMaps® Premium, Fishing Hotspots® PRO and Jeppesen C-Map Max-N charts. All Elite-9 CHIRP units are also compatible with the Insight Genesis™ map-creation service, which allows users to make custom, high-resolution contour maps from recorded sonar logs, including bottom-hardness and vegetation overlays, as well as Insight Genesis Social Map community chart sharing.

“We are committed to combining technology that helps anglers maximize their time on the water, with a product that delivers the right set of key features” said Leif Ottosson, CEO, Navico. “The new Elite-9 CHIRP is packed with all the proven features that have helped the Lowrance Elite series dominate today’s fishing electronics market – now with a larger, widescreen format that appeals to a growing audience of anglers.”

The new Elite-9 CHIRP series offers a choice of HDI 83/200 kHz or HDI 50/200 kHz transducer options with depth capabilities of 1,000 and 3,000 feet, respectively. An Elite-9x CHIRP fishfinder-only model is also available, as well as an Elite-9 Nav+ bundle that includes Navionics+ cartography featuring U.S., Canada, Alaska, coastal Bahamas, Great Lakes and major Canadian lakes detail.

Protected by the Lowrance Advantage Service program, the Elite-9 CHIRP can be purchased from authorized Lowrance dealers and distributors throughout the United States and Canada for $1,399 (83/200 kHz) and $1,599 (50/200 kHz). For more information on the Lowrance Elite-9 CHIRP (including pricing for the Elite-9x and Elite-9x Nav+ CHIRP models), the entire Lowrance line of marine electronics, or to locate an authorized Lowrance dealer, please visit www.lowrance.com.
