Hey Phill, which weather site do you prefer for 1770?
Willyweather seems to have live data for lady musgrave, but recording are from lady elliot 37k's away.
The BoM have a reasonable forecast, but always err on the side of caution.
Seabreeze, again is a good indicator.
I find the way to get a handle on conditions is to look for the swell / seas. If the seas are under 1mtr and swell 8 or more seconds apart.... it'll be a cracker, despite any wind.
I use Buoyweather ( premium , which I pay an annual subscription to ). This allows me to get forecasts of wind, swell and seas within a close proximity of where I want to fish.
Examples below. For Cape Moreton.
This is Buoyweather . It gives sea height, swell time, wind direction and strength over a 6 day period.
This one gives the same info in a graph ( Buoyweather )
Here is the Seabreeze forecast
This one is the BoM ( Marine & Ocean ) You can click on the " Animate " at the trop to move the days forward and it will shown the wind changes
And this is the BoM relating to the forecast from above. With the added warning they could be as much as 40% out.
So if you look at these 3 sites you get get a pretty good idea of what will happen.
Hope this helps.
Cheers LP
