Sometimes when you see a thread 5 pages long you go and have a look as it could be something interesting....but then again sometimes its not.

    Hi Carry,
Just reviewing those pics, I can see how those strakes would work & give lift at the bow when bogging in.
I'll give that design a go by just stitch welding on for starters to see how it changes the dynamics of the boat first before fully welding.
They appear to be a 32x32x3mm angle.
    Can you confirm?

    Thanks - Rob

Personally, I hope he fixes his boat for your sake, as you seem to be the one obsessed with it. Rob did clarify, saying anything over 5 degrees & you think its broaching??

Maybe thats due to the fact you have obviously softened up with your advancing years, & now with your jelly legs & timid tummy, unless it has the stability of a cat, you struggle?? LOL

    Your understanding friend,

Hahahahhaha I thought the same about page 3?
Yes all, I will get Moejoes modified in the near future, confirm what I done, take it out in at least a 20knotter ( Yes Bannana, following seas!!!! your favourite.... you are welcome to come for a ride if your bowels allow it ) & will ask everyone on this post what they think the results are. Once completed I will then post my findings.
I will need about 4 weeks to do this.
Hopefully all the floatation foam inside the hull won't burst into flames
Mick, Watch & learn from this space.......

    Thanks - Rob.

Im in mate. No 20 knotter just a bit of swell on the bar will be fine.

I recon you'll be pumped with the difference it makes if you get it right.

    Thanks - Rob.
Might be worth looking into flooding the underfloor with some sort of inert gas - or at least making sure your insurance is up to date. It might (probably will) still melt the foam but at least it shouldn't catch fire or worse.

    Thanks Scottar / Mick,
I have welded under it before without a drama.
Just need to unscrew all covers & watch it for a couple of hours after done to make sure nothing is left smouldering.
Maybe a bottle of CO2 will be handy to extinguish for backup.
