    Re invigorating older jigs

Hi all I have some jigs in the 4-6 inch range with trebles. The trebles are a bit worse for wear. The trebles are on the tail. I think these should work taking the trebles off and putting on tow point hooks? Anyone know the best place online to order some Dacron rope jobbies? Will the replacement hooks for Lucanus jigs work?

    cheers

Why not just put on a split ring and single hook?

I had done that to some but wondering if the assist hook is better for hook ups?

Why do keeper hooks have Dacron or similar? Surely i could attach a hook using say 80lb mono..i have an old spool of that never used
..would be less visible than Dacron or is the Dacron a bit like a fly...an attractant to a head strike?

    Cheers
