I dare say the EPIRB frequency is 406mhz now... seems like old info. ???
FYI from Hervey Bay Marine Rescue
We strongly recommend that all boat operators log on with our Radio Room whenever they go out on the water. Trained Radio Operators monitor VHF channels 16, 73 (local area) and 22 (north of Fairway Beacon) … 27 MHz channels 88 and 91 … HF channels 2.182 and 2.524 … and EPIRB frequency 121.5 MHz. Our Radio Room is manned daily between 0600 and 1800 hours, and after hours VHF channel 16 is monitored by Brisbane and Gladstone Harbour for emergencies only. Mobile phones should not be relied upon as a substitute for a marine radio. They are not designed for marine use and have proven unreliable at sea. The best form of communication on the water is VHF Marine Radio.
Boat to Boat station will be 77 ( 72 & 73 can also be used )

Weather permitting I'll be there noonish Thursday
Our plans are to get away from the ramp at around late morning Thursday. Others will stay at the ramp overnight Thursday and head up at first light Friday.
I am so happy to wake up in the morning.
Beats the alternative!

Ok so can i confirm that this event is still on (subject to weather, naturally) the weekend of 14/15/16 November -ie the G20 weekend?
If so, we will have 2 more boats to add to the list......!
Short Fuse, and Moonlighter (except in another boat, Rascal, 2301 Seaswirl)
Note to self: Don't argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience....
Will be a great weekend. Just hoping the weather gods do the right thing by us.
Maturity is not when we start speaking BIG things,it is when we start understanding small things
We will be leaving Brisbane around 4:30pm Thursday and depending on the weather conditions when we get to Urangan, may put the boat in and head over to Rooneys.
Life is short fish hard!!!
