Bit hard to get those 4 stroke outboards running again.

They are probably write-offs anyway if they were running when they hit the water.

Nobody will wear any blame: The committee made me do it.

Looking forward to the report at: http://www.msq.qld.gov.au/Publicatio...y-reports.aspx

Queensland marine safety legislation requires all marine incidents to be reported to a shipping inspector within 48 hours. Reports must be made on a marine incident report form ( http://www.support.transport.qld.gov...f/Forms/QF3071 ). It is an offence not to report a marine incident—and may result in a fine. A marine incident generally results in damage to your boat and/or another boat or danger of personal injury. Examples of common incidents include collisions, groundings, capsize, fires and swamping.

Pretty sure this is now on the trailer at the Water Police base near Fishermans Island - it looks a bit sad sitting there :-)

Maybe MSQ need to look at one of these as the replacement....

O dear, looks like an expensive rig as well. sounds like someone had to work pretty damn hard to roll the bugger in fairly good conditions. i'm guessing too much horse power used and not enough brain power.

I came across a 7 meter cat a couple of years ago that did the same thing in keppel bay in about 10 knots and that turned out to be skipper error, surfed down a small wave went up on one hull and over she went, certainly makes me think to watch what i am doing
