Shrink wrap for grips

G, day gents,
just after some info about closing off the ends when attaching shrink grip to the eva grips, I have never used this stuff on rods before.
Is it put on after the grips are in place or do you shrink it on then ream out the grip.

Place it on after The grip is in place U need to wait for the glue to dry before U try to shrink the shrink wrap

so how do I finish the ends off???

I heat the end so that it curves around the end of the fore grip. I then find a winding check that will cover the exposed end

What is the point of shrink wrapping the eva grips?

The shrink wrap has a criss cross pattern in it,
looks pretty good, also its what the client wants.
