well done mate a cracking feed of fish there
Crossed the bar at 7am & headed wide. Not as calm as predicted, starting off at 35 knots but back to 22 after a while. Had Juna, Dave & Paul on board, never having fished with the 2 blokes before.
Juna got us straight onto the fish first drop, bagging out on hussar in 1.5 hours, so headed south. Juna said this is a good tusk spot, so 4 lines over & within a minute, a 4 way hook up on good solid tusks. Nice drift darling!!
Worked our way south through the day in absolute stunning conditions with no current at all. Water temp still 25.6
Struggled on snapper & pearlies, but 3 nice maori cod helped out.
Crossed the bar at 7 pm in the calmest conditions imaginable.
Tally ended up being-
40 Hussar
6 squire
4 pearlies
3 maori
22 tusk
1 goatfish
1 Job fish or gold band???
2 Moses
2 Spanish
A great day, unbelievable conditions with good mates. Doesn't get any better!!
Tony

...........GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO BAIT.........
Nice work mate.. Out fished by the misso again?? Haha
ditto above.. Be good to meet next month
Mick
Did an hour or two this arvo. A few beers, AC/DC in the background, & life's good! Another couple of hours tomorrow. Paul only took 6 fish & Dave is driving back to Melbourne, so he couldn't take any, so yes, I have about 75 fish to fillet!!
Looking forward to next month Mick. Should be great, with a good few coming along by the sound of it.
Tony
You know it Mick. Cracked me up last week with Hookinin on board. Juna is loaded up, & struggles getting it to the top with her frozen shoulder, so calls for help. I take over, so she says, I'll get you loaded up.
Yeah, right! 10 secs later she's calling for help again!
So Gav drops his rig & goes to help Juna. She says I'll get you onto the fish Gav.
Yeah, right.
10 secs later, Gav, your on!! So I landed Junas fish & ran to get Gavs up.
It was a circus, us blokes rolling around the boat picking up the rods Junas loaded up.
She did a great job yesterday locating the fish & getting us on them.
Careful boys, she's coming along to Bannanas, & no, she's my deckie. FIND YOUR OWN!!!!
Really looking forward to meeting all the names I know on Ausfish.

Tony (Beaker) you might have to twist Gav's arm to take a few days of perhaps?
With that amount of peeps Keith, who cares if we leave your block even!! Sounds like a good weekend to me regardless of the wind! Haha
Danny, I'm sure she'd like to come too.. Trouble is, if she goes in the big NC she won't wanna go in my tub ever again.. And the other thing is she just bloody refuses to wear bloody clothes when fishing! inconsiderate when ya trying to fish 😜
might have to see what gibbo is doing for that trip..should be a cracker of a weekend
Yeah get onto it Rosco. Been around having a few beers with him tonight and he's keen as long as the weather holds out.
