Humminbird 346cx vs Lowrance mark 5x pro
BCF have a sale on fish finders at the moment and I was thinking of buying either the
Hummingbird 346cx or Lowrance mark 5x pro priced at $259 and $199 respectively.
I don't know a lot about fish finders other than supposedly they help you find fish?
What would you guys recommend?
The Hummingbird specs are
3.5" colour TFT screen (320 x 240 pixels)
Down Imaging - A snapshot of underneath the boat
Operating frequency 455/800/200/455 kHz
Maximum depth 183m
The Lowrance
5" 16 level greyscale (480 x 480 pixels)
Dual frequency 200/83 kHz
Maximum depth 180m
TrackBack - record sonar history

chalk and cheese. the mark 5x pro is a real basic simple "thats still kinda expensive" throw on a new tinny package type sounder
humminbird runs a high frequency down imaging. colour just.. yeah everything better. but costs a few bucks

Budget was upto around $250 ish.
I decided to go with the hummingbird, unfortunately has a small screen and less pixels, but this down imaging thing has sold me.
