    Maiden voyage

I finally lashed out and bought a Kayak. The main purpose is for the family with the wife and two young girls but since it came with rod holders I thought I better take it for a fish he he he.

The trip was windy and rainy and you'd call it pretty miserable but I still managed to Christen the new Yak with a nice little Barra around 65cm. It's a start.

The best thing about this Kayak is I got two inbuilt rod holders, two adjustable ones, two of those Deluxe seats that can go for $100 each plus two detachable paddles all for $694 delivered. Can't argue with that.

Do you use the kayak in the dams and freshwater in cairns. I don't think I could use one in the rivers with those crocs up there

Absolutely freshwater dams like Tinaroo only mate!!
    too many Swamp Geckos...

Although I do hope to take it to the reef one day and catch a Mack or something.

Looks the goods mate. With this bit of rain coming the dam should/hopefully have some more water mixed in with those big fish.
