Cool what brand alloy dropside tray

    Thanks in advance.
Am ordering a d max space cab-chassis and would be interested to hear what maker, in Brisbane, you would/would not recommend.
I notice a few smaller makers as well as the big guys on the net.
I'm not really worried about price just a quality product.
Have had some negative comments about one brand from a Isuzu dealer already.
    thanks john

My 4WD Accessories Direct tray is tough and doesnt rattle. I bought the heavy duty version and am happy with it.
The drop sides are strong and stiff enough to run heavy duty rachet straps tightly over them and they dont buckle or bend.
    2 negatives for the tray
.....too many tek screws instead of bolts & nuts (specify to have bolts used instead of Tek screws).
.....the outer skin on the drop sides can be dented lifting in tool boxes etc and not getting over the top properly. I now have two dents about 20c piece size from that sort of thing....takes a fair whack though.

Price was decent considering the toughness of the alloy tray.

Are you looking at a custom made one or one of the pre-fabbed extruded pieces of junk......?.......Have a look for a Morrison,Silverback or a Falcon Engineering tray......Those kit trays a rubbish...........Dan

Buffalo Fabrication - put one on my cruiser and it is great.

Welded alloy tray, no rattles and extremely well built.

Great website to decide on your options.

Re: what brand alloy dropside tray

My bro in-law has a tray on a Mazda ute, I took a look it, it has to be the worst truck/ute body ive ever seen, but to my horror the piece's of junk are on so many utes, talk about flimsy.

Is it possible to get a ute body made from plank aluminium? Similar to this, obviously the sides can be as high or as low as you like, and obviously for a small ute you wouldn't want a tipper, but you get the picture
