    Coffin Bay Trip

Planning a trip to Coffin Bay in early April and was hoping someone would be able to let me know what type of fishing we may encounter. We are taking our own boat and would also like to know do we take any heavy gear as well as light tackle. Any advice would be really appreciated.

Just take an assortment of gear that range from 5kgs to 15kgs and you should be fine, unless you're heading out wide. Plenty of good fishing, bring plenty of squid jigs.
Also you will need to bring one of those CARAVAN vaporizer. They are in plague proportion on the black top
Humility is not a weather condition.

Thanks for that info hungry6. Also spending a couple of days with Fuzz at Arno Bay. Looking forward to the trip. This will be the first time we ever fished south!

Bring plenty of warn clothing, you're going to need it especially on the water.

Bring the heaviest outfit you have and tighten the drag with pliers. That area is reknowned for having XOS kingfish, up to 40-45kg! Live squid or garfish drifted out under a balloon around pylons, drop offs or big eddys.

Thanks for the advice guys. We had been asked by the our financial directors what the weather would likely be so they could plan their wardrobes. Is the live bait mentioned readily available?
