Gunnel Rubber replace or refit
Chasing a few opinions on gunnel rubber??? Gunnel rubber is still 95% fitted but when it rains it runs down inside the rubber and leaks out at the stern of the boat ( which i dont like ). If i remove the rubber and refit with sikaflex, will this be adequate? Will this be hard to make look good ? The adhesive that is on there now is a hard epoxy type and the rubber cleans up well. Or is the best option to replace the whole lot???
Any helpful tips appreciated.
Thanks Bale.

Re: Gunnel Rubber replace or refit
Hi mate, I replaced my gunnel rubber on my cruise craft when I restored it. I used marine sikaflex. and heated up the gunnel rubber slighty and started one side and pulled it nicely around to the other. came up smicko and any that spews out a little simply buy some wax and grease and run around it to clean it up! did it 2 years ago still perfect to this day!
